Gandaki legalizes medical cannabis cultivation and use

Gandaki Province has enacted a law allowing the cultivation and medical use of cannabis, becoming the first province in Nepal to establish such a framework.

Under the new provincial law, farmers will require official permission and cultivation will be monitored by provincial authorities. The development comes while cannabis remains prohibited under Nepal's national narcotics law.
